Collingwood have cleared Adam Treloar of injury after the star AFL recruit limped off the training track on Friday.

But fellow former GWS teammate Curtly Hampton is out of action for two months, with the new Adelaide player diagnosed with a stress reaction in his foot.

Treloar, who had groin surgery last year, was hurt during a match simulation session.

"All players got through training. Adam Treloar left the track a couple of minutes early but he's fine," Magpies football manager Neil Balme said on Twitter.

Treloar starred last week in Collingwood's final pre-season match ahead of their season opener on Saturday week against Sydney at the SCG.

Balme added that injury-plagued key position Ben Reid came through Friday's session well.

Tyson Goldsack and former Melbourne utility Jeremy Howe were other injured players who took part.

"It's good to see Ben Reid get through the session. We're happy with the way the squad is looking as we move towards our first game," Balme said.

But the news is bad for Hampton after the new Crows backman pulled up sore last week from training.

Adelaide high performance manager Brett Burton said the good news was that the injury had been diagnosed early.

"Curtly will not require surgery but will wear a moonboot for the next couple of weeks as he begins his rehabilitation," Burton told the club website.
