Chile's capital city has been shaken by another tremor four days after after being hit by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake.

A 5.8 magnitude tremor rattled buildings in the Chilean capital Santiago shortly after 1pm local time on Friday, according to Reuters witnesses.

Central Chile has been shaken by a series of quakes over the last week, including a 6.9 magnitude tremor on Monday.
