WHO: Gable Tostee, 30.
WHAT: On trial in Brisbane Supreme Court for murder of New Zealand tourist Warriena Tagpuno Wright, 26. The pair met on dating app Tinder.
WHEN: Ms Wright died in the early hours of August 8, 2014 after she fell from the 14th floor balcony of Tostee's high-rise Avalon Apartments unit in Surfers Paradise.
TIMELINE
July 29, 2014 - Ms Wright arrives in Australia for two-week holiday, to attend wedding. During that time she meets Tostee on Tinder.
August 8, 2014 - Ms Wright found dead about 2.20am after falling from 14th floor balcony of Tostee's Surfers Paradise apartment.
August 15, 2014 - Tostee arrested at parent's house in Carrara, charged with murder.
October 10, 2016 - Start of murder trial, expected to take seven to eight days. Tostee represented by high-profile barrister Saul Holt QC.
