Friends of charismatic media personality Charlotte Dawson are in mourning following the sudden death of the "beautiful, bright, shining girl".
The New Zealand-born star, who had a history with depression, was found dead in her Woolloomooloo apartment in Sydney on Saturday morning. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
In 2012, she was admitted to Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital after a suicide attempt following an ongoing tirade of abuse on Twitter.
Dawson, 47, had long graced the pages of women's gossip magazines and the scenes of reality TV shows, including a recent role as a judge on Foxtel show Australia's Next Top Model.
It is there she worked with fellow judge and Australian designer Alex Perry, who paid tribute to Dawson, tweeting "WE LOST A BEAUTIFUL, BRIGHT, SHINING GIRL TODAY... REST IN PEACE MY SWEETHEART...I LOVE YOU. X."
Reality TV star Nathan Jolliffe, who stared alongside Dawson on show Celebrity Apprentice, said she was a kind-hearted person who put 110 per cent into life.
"My time on Celebrity Apprentice with her will be some of the best memories of my life," he told AAP.
"I just feel so saddened that she didn't realise how many people were here to support her in troubled times.
"She will be greatly missed."
Police forensic specialists were at The Finger Wharf at Woolloomooloo for most of Saturday, carrying bags and equipment in and out of her exclusive apartment complex.
On the other side of the wharf, the blinds were drawn on apartment 104.
The weekend lunch crowds who gathered at the wharf's high-end eateries appeared unaware of the tragedy.
However, it was a different story on social media, where tributes flowed for the former model.
New Zealand Prime Minister John Key tweeted he was "shocked and saddened" by the news and radio personalities Kyle and Jackie O also expressed their shock. "U will always have a special place in our hearts Charlotte. RIP," the radio duo tweeted.
Many of the tweets reflected on Dawson's battle with twitter trolls and her campaigns against bullying.

It was reported friends had been concerned about her recently.
"She was in very bad shape. Terrible shape," one, who asked not to be named, told News Corp Australia.
Dawson often appeared on morning and breakfast television shows, last appearing on the Nine Network's Morning Show on Friday.
She was once married to troubled Olympic swimmer Scott Miller.
The Nine Network issued a statement, saying Dawson would be missed.
"All Charlotte's friends at Channel Nine are shocked and devastated by the news this morning. We loved her and hope that she is at peace - she was a part of our television family and we will miss her warmth and beauty around us."
