Tributes flow for murdered NSW woman

Within an hour of 26-year-old Marnielee Maree Cave's body being identified, a tribute page saw messages remembering the murdered NSW woman.

Tributes have flowed on social media for a woman found murdered and dumped under a bridge on the NSW south coast.

Marnielee Maree Cave, 26, from Bega, has been described as a fun-loving and caring woman on an online page.

"You made the world a better place Marnie. Your smile, warmth, friendship for all those you met ... we are all better for knowing you. RiP beautiful girl. A light has gone out but memories of you will go on forever," one user posted.

Ms Cave's body was found under Mogareeka Bridge on the Bega River about 8.15am last Wednesday. She was identified by police on Friday.

Speaking to ABC Radio on Monday morning, Detective Inspector Kevin McNeil said Ms Cave was seen on Tuesday last week and investigators have concluded she was murdered.

She was found wearing a butterfly necklace and social media users are planning to plant trees that will attract the brightly-coloured insects at a memorial on Wednesday.
