Tributes for Qld teen dragged out to sea

Tributes are flowing on social media for a 19-year-old man whose body has been found on a Sunshine Coast beach two days after being dragged out to sea.

Tributes are flowing for a Queensland teenager whose body has washed ashore on a Sunshine Coast beach.

Josh Carter, 19, went missing after reportedly being caught in a rip and dragged out to sea while swimming at Noosa North Shore on Sunday.

His body was found on a nearby beach on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Carter's friends have taken to social media to express their grief at the teenager's death.

"You will never be forgotten and have tattooed yourself on al (sic) our hearts. Rest easy and peacefully brother," Aaron Oatway-booth wrote on Facebook.

Many remembered the former Cavendish Road State High School student, from Brisbane, as cheerful and funny.

"RIP Josh Carter. You were one of the funniest and realist guys the Cavendish Road family has known," Harry Bates posted on Facebook.
