Triple M wins FM breakfast ratings in Vic

Triple M has won Melbourne's first FM breakfast ratings battle for 2014 - but only just.

Triple M's breakfast team of Eddie McGuire, Mick Malloy and Luke Darcy have held onto their lead with eight per cent of the audience share - a drop of 1.3 points.

Fox FM's new duo Fifi Box and Dave Thornton are close behind in second spot with an audience share of 7.9 per cent.

Box and Thornton were announced as Fox Fm's new breakfast team following the departure of Jo Stanley and Matt Tilley.

The departure of longtime breakfast duo Kate Langbroek and Dave Hughes saw Nova's ratings slide one percentage point. The station's new team of Meshel Laurie and Tommy Little were placed fifth with an audience share of 7.4 per cent.
