Trojan virus hobbles WA parliament

A Trojan virus has penetrated Western Australia's parliament, crippling its IT network and communication systems.

Parliament staff were handed a memo on Wednesday morning informing them the cyber attack had infiltrated the network, despite sophisticated firewall protection.

Computers and phones were isolated to prevent further virus infiltration with all internet, email and phone networks offline.
