A tweet from US President Donald Trump thanking servicemen and women for their dedication after his visit to California's Marine Corps Air Station Miramar has stirred controversy among veterans.
Mr Trump was visiting the station, north of San Diego, on Tuesday local time and proposed an increased budget for US armed forces in 2019.
But the commander-in-chief enraged veterans after he tweeted "Marine Core" instead of "Marine Corps".
"It was my great honour to deliver a message at the Marine Core Air Station Miramar to our GREAT US Military, straight from the heart of the American People: We support you, we thank you, we love you - and we will always have your back!" he wrote before correcting the spelling.

Veterans turned to social media to express their anger claiming it was "more than a spelling error".
The error came on the same day Mr Trump was mocked on social media for proposing the US develop a "Space Force" to fight wars in space during the station visit.
Mr Trump told troops at the station the new group would be able to encapsulate the "tremendous amount" of work the military and government are doing in space-related defence.
"My new national strategy for space recognises that space is a war-fighting domain, just like the land, air and sea," Mr Trump said.
"We may even have a space force ... We have the air force, we'll have the space force, we'll have the army, the navy.
"Maybe we'll have to do that. That could happen."
