US President Donald Trump says a possible military strike against Syria "could be very soon or not so soon at all".

"Never said when an attack on Syria would take place," Trump wrote on Twitter.

The US, the UK and France have been weighing whether to launch military strikes in Syria in response to a suspected chemical attack that killed civilians in the Syrian town of Douma.
