Trump win most likely: Bishop

The federal government will work constructively with the next US president, likely to be Donald Trump as counting continues.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says it appears Donald Trump is "most likely" to become the next US president.

Ms Bishop said Australia would work constructively with the next president.

"It's important for the Australian government to be ready to work with whomever becomes the next president of the United States and at this stage it appears to be Donald Trump," she told Sky News on Wednesday.
