Tunisian Malek Jaziri has bowed out of the Australian Open, but he can still be proud of his performance.

It's been over a decade since an Arab tennis player reached the third round of a Grand Slam tournament.

At the Australian Open in Melbourne, that's as far as Tunisian Malek Jaziri came, before being defeated by local boy Nick Kyrgios in the men's singles.

Still, it's an amazing feat for the 31-year-old who's ranked in the top 100, pays his own way and travels to tournaments without an entourage.

Kristina Kukolja asked Malek Jaziri what the achievement means to him.
