Turnbull pays tribute to NZ economy

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has praised New Zealand's handling of the economy.

New Zealand is leading the way in tackling economic problems, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has told parliament.

Mr Turnbull at the weekend made his first overseas trip as prime minister, meeting with NZ leader John Key in Auckland.

"Their efforts lead the way in showing how we can tackle economic problems efficiently and capably," Mr Turnbull said on Monday.
