Turnbull queries storm-climate link

You can't attribute a particular storm to climate change, says Malcolm Turnbull.

Malcolm Turnbull says climate change is bringing about larger and more frequent storms.

But, inspecting flood damage in Tasmania on Thursday, the prime minister said heavy rain and flooding across eastern Australia can't be directly attributed to global warming.

"Attributing any particular event to climate change is just not sustainable, but there is no question that we live in the land of droughts and flooding rains," Mr Turnbull told reporters in Latrobe on Thursday.
