Turnbull reshuffle to elevate talent

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is set to reshuffle his frontbench. Who could be the winners?

POSSIBLE WINNERS FROM A MALCOLM TURNBULL RESHUFFLE:

1. KAREN ANDREWS - The Gold Coast MP has been a strong promoter of the prime minister's innovation agenda as assistant minister for science.

2. CONCETTA FIERRAVANTI-WELLS - The NSW senator has been at the forefront of the government's efforts to counter extremism.

3. JAMES MCGRATH - A political strategist and Sunshine State senator, he has had electoral success with Boris Johnson in London and Campbell Newman in Queensland. Will be handy as the election nears.

4. FIONA NASH - Elevated to cabinet as the new Nationals deputy leader, the NSW senator is widely respected in regional Australia and is a good media performer.

5. STEVE CIOBO - The international development minister and Queensland MP has 15 years of parliamentary experience and could be elevated to cabinet as trade minister or in another senior role.
