Turnbull stops over in Hawaii

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is on his way back to Australia to the US after a brief stopover in Hawaii.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has made a brief visit to Hawaii on his way back to Australia.

He met the commander of the US Pacific fleet Admiral Harry Harris and inspected a US warship on Pearl Harbour.

Mr Turnbull spent two days in Washington, where he held talks with President Barack Obama and met with congressional and business figures, on the back of a visit to Iraq and Afghanistan.
