Turnbull to welcome NZ prime minister

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key will meet in Sydney this week to discuss trade and counter-terrorism.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will welcome his New Zealand counterpart to Australia this week.

New Zealand Prime Minister John Key will join Mr Turnbull in Sydney on Friday, to discuss trans-Tasman trade, counter-terrorism, the Pacific and the war in Iraq and Syria.

Trans-Tasman goods and services trade was $23.4 billion last year, while Australia invests almost $100 billion in New Zealand, Mr Turnbull said in a statement on Tuesday.
