Malcolm Turnbull has wished New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English well for Saturday's election.
"He's been a great leader in New Zealand for many years," Mr Turnbull told reporters on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland on Friday.
The National Party leader is facing a tough battle to retain his job amid hype around Labour's new leader Jacinda Ardern.
