Kookaburras veteran Glenn Turner will make his return for Australia in the Champions Trophy after being named in an 18-man squad for the prestigious hockey tournament in London.
The 32-year-old forward has been battling a hamstring problem but has been cleared to stake his final claim for a spot in the Rio Olympics squad.
Turner, a 124-game Kookaburra, missed the series against Great Britain earlier this month and Australia's Azlan Shah Cup win in April.
Absent from the squad announced on Monday is captain Mark Knowles who will remain in Perth for the birth of his third child.
A number of players, including experienced trio Jamie Dwyer, Fergus Kavanagh and Matt Gohdes have been rested by coach Graham Reid.
Tasmanian Josh Beltz has been selected for the squad in his first major international after stellar performances during the recent tournament against Great Britain.
"The Champions Trophy is being used to manage the load of a number of our players, and to provide the last opportunity for other players vying for Olympic selection," said Reid.
"The objective of 2016 has been to get as many players as possible up to the level where they are in the mix for the team going to Rio."
Australia begin the tournament against Great Britain on June 10.
The Kookaburras come into the Champions Trophy after beating Great Britain 2-0 in a three-Test series in Perth earlier this month.
