Twin blasts near parliament in Kabul

Twin bombs have gone off in the Afghan capital Kabul in an apparent co-ordinated attack near the parliament.

A suicide bomber has blown himself up near parliament offices in the Afghan capital, an attack that was followed immediately by a car bomber in an apparently co-ordinated operation.

There was no immediate word on casualties from the attack, which follows a period of relative calm in Kabul.
