Two people have been arrested after police raids in Mildura found illegal drugs imported through air mail.

Police raided six businesses and homes in Mildura, Merbein and Red Cliffs at 8.15am on Wednesday.

A 28-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, both from Mildura, were arrested and are being interviewed.

Australian Border Force officers at Sydney and Melbourne airports found a precursor of the drug GBH concealed in mail and cargo packages, leading them to raid the regional Victorian properties.

The drugs, in tablet, powder and liquid form, are believed to have originated from Asia and Europe.

The pair are expected to be interviewed about federal and Victorian offences relating to drug importation and trafficking.
