A bushfire in Western Australia's already fire ravaged South West region has been downgraded, but still poses a possible threat to lives and homes.
The bushfire, downgraded from an emergency to a watch and act warning, has been issued for people in Dardanup West as the bushfire closes in on properties.
The fire was reported to authorities at 12.50pm on Monday, with aerial support sent to assist ground crews in fighting the blaze.
Nearby residents have been urged to leave the area immediately if the way is clear, or prepare to actively defend their properties.
Meanwhile, a bushfire watch and act has also been issued for the northern part of Nilgen in the Shire of Gingin, where there is a possible threat to lives and homes.

The fire, which is burning near the Nilgen Nature Reserve, is heading towards Ocean Farms and was reported at 1.30pm.
Air and ground crews are fighting the blaze, with people nearby advised to leave or prepare to defend their property.
