South Sydney prop Tom Burgess worked out with the Buffalo Bills on Friday making it two NFL trials in two days.

Having tried out with the New York Giants on Thursday, the 23-year-old trained with the Bills in Orchard Park on Friday morning.

A team official confirmed the session had taken place, with Burgess having been in the United States all week.

Burgess this year signed a one-year extension with the Rabbitohs keeping him at Redfern Oval until 2018 alongside twin brother George.

Older brother Sam is also preparing to return to South Sydney in 2016 after a stint in rugby union.

Tom Burgess, who stands 196cm tall and weighs 120kg, has been trying out as a tight end in the NFL.

Burgess has previously spoken of a liking for the NFL, saying earlier this year: "I have shown interest in NFL for a while and I'd spoken to a few of my friends about how I'd love to go there (but) somehow it's been turned into I've got a contract out there."

"(But) that's not the case, there's nothing there yet and I've not spoken to anyone. It is something I definitely wouldn't turn my nose up at, I'd look into it but there's nothing there currently."

The Rabbitohs are calm about the situation with the club saying Burgess has been given the opportunity "to develop his skills by participating in NFL training during his off-season break".

Former league player Jarryd Hayne recently switched to the NFL and earned himself a deal with the San Francisco 49ers only to be dropped from their roster last month.
