Two dead in Boxing Day car crash

Two men have been killed and another three were injured when their car hit an embankment on the M1 highway north of Sydney, police say.

Two men have been killed and another three were injured when their car hit an embankment on the M1 highway north of Sydney, police say.

The single-car accident occurred shortly before 5am on Boxing Day.

One man was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. A second man was trapped inside the car and died before he could be rescued.

Three others are being treated for injuries.
