Two men are dead after a light plane crash in a remote area of north Queensland.
Police say preliminary investigations suggest the crash, at Bellfield Station, approximately 180km north of Richmond, happened around 3.30pm (AEST) on Sunday.
The pilot of the Cessna, a man in his 50s, died at the scene.
The sole passenger, a man in his 20s, also died as a result of his injuries.
Local police have guarded the scene overnight.

Forensic Crash Unit officers and air safety inspectors are headed to the site.
