Two hospitalised after NSW pursuit

Two men have been hospitalised and two women have been arrested after a police pursuit ended in them crashing into a guard rail in southern NSW.

A man has been airlifted to hospital following a police pursuit and crash in NSW's south.

Police began pursuing a silver hatchback on Saturday morning when the driver allegedly failed to stop.

Around 15 minutes after the pursuit began, the hatchback crashed into a guard rail at Bywong near Canberra.

Two women were arrested at the scene, while the male driver, 22, was airlifted to Canberra Hospital.

A 25-year-old male passenger was taken to the same hospital by NSW Ambulance.

The pair are under police guard.

Police say the hatchback was reported to have been stolen from Canberra.
