Two killed, baby uninjured in Vic crash

Two people are dead, another two females are fighting for life but a baby is uninjured after a crash on a Victorian highway.

Two people are dead and two more are fighting for life, but a nine-month-old baby is unscathed after a crash on a Victorian highway.

Police were called to the Hamilton Highway at Cressy about 3.15pm on Friday after a Hyundai hit a Mitsubishi.

The two people in the Mitsubishi died at the scene and are yet to be identified, while the female driver and a female backseat passenger in the other car have both been flown to hospital.

A baby in a child restrain in the back seat of the Hyundai is uninjured, police say.

There have been 125 deaths on Victorian roads so far this year, compared to 83 at the same time in 2018.
