Two men burned in Vic boat explosion

Two men have been flown to hospital after a boat explosion near Camperdown in Victoria's southwest.

Two men have been burned in a boat engine explosion in southwestern Victoria.

The explosion happened on Lake Bullen Merri near Camperdown on Monday afternoon.

"Police were told the two men had just launched the boat at a boat ramp and had just started the engine when it exploded," a Victoria Police spokeswoman told AAP.

Ambulance Victoria says two men, one aged in his late teens and another in his early 20s, were flown to The Alfred hospital in Melbourne in a stable condition.
