Two men killed in Qld road accidents

Two more men have died on Queensland roads as the holiday road toll period ends.

A pedestrian aged in his 40s was hit by a truck and died at Warwick in southern Queensland on Tuesday night while walking through an intersection.

He died at the scene.

Just a few hours earlier, on Tuesday afternoon, an elderly driver died in a two car crash at Mount Marlow in the Whitsundays.

A 29-year-old man and a woman, 30, who were in the other car were taken to Proserpine hospital. Their injuries were not life threatening.

The two deaths take Queensland's toll to 8 since December 23.
