Two more measles cases in Sydney

Sydney health authorities have issued another alert for measles after two people travelled in the community while contagious.

Sydney health authorities say two more people have been diagnosed with measles bringing the total number of cases to 28 across NSW this year.

A health alert was issued on Wednesday after two patients in the Sutherland Shire visited public places and caught public transport between September 30 and October 7.

The cases were confirmed on Tuesday, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District said in a statement.

People aged between one and 51 are entitled to a free measles vaccine if they have not already received their shots.
