Two people and a dog have been found safe after their vehicle was found in floodwaters near Bundaberg.

The caller to triple-zero reported the people and dog were on the roof of a vehicle at Coonarr around 7am on Tuesday, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman told AAP.

The RACQ helicopter was sent to the scene but not needed.
