Two people killed in Queensland car crash

Two people have died and a third has been airlifted to hospital after a serious two-vehicle crash in southern Queensland.

Two people have been killed and a third seriously injured in a car crash in southern Queensland.

Just after midday on Tuesday two cars collided on Surat Development Road between Tara and Dalby.

Two people died at the scene while a third suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to the PA Hospital in Brisbane.

A fourth person in the car suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Surat Development Road is closed to all traffic with police diversions in place following the smash.
