Two people have been hospitalised after a building collapsed in central Sydney on Monday, emergency services said.
A spokesperson for New South Wales Ambulance said it was called to an address in Ultimo, a suburb around 2 km from the city's central business district, just before 11am.
Workers assessed seven patients at the scene. According to ABC News, one man in his 60s and another in his 30s were removed from the rubble and rushed to hospital in a serious condition.
One of the men was taken to St Vincent's Hospital Sydney. The other was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Fire and Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW) told ABC News that the building was a construction site. Nearby buildings, including an adjoining service station, have been evacuated.

“A portion of that building has collapsed, and some of the debris has come down and fallen on some cars parked within the service station area,” FRNSW Acting Superintendent Peter Murray told Nine News.
