Two Turkish police killed in car bombing

A car bomb in a southern Turkey city has killed two police a day after 11 people were killed by a car bomb targeting police in Istanbul.

Two Turkish police officers have been killed in a car bomb attack on a police station in the southeastern town of Midyat in Mardin province.

Hospital sources say more than 20 people including police officers and civilians were wounded in the attack on Wednesday in the largely Kurdish southeast.

It comes a day after 11 people were killed by a car bomb targeting police in Istanbul.
