More Britons than ever before are accepting homosexuality, a UK government-backed survey shows.
The survey, released by the National Centre for Social Research, aims to evaluate British social and political attitudes.
Nearly 40 per cent of respondents thought homosexual acts were 'always' or 'mostly' wrong, down from 62 per cent a quarter of a century earlier.

While attitudes to same-sex couples are becoming more liberal, attitudes to voting and civic duty were not.
Only 56 per cent of those surveyed thought it is everyone's duty to vote, down from nearly 70 per cent in 1991. A third of people in the recent survey said they had 'not much' or 'no interest' in politics.
Support for the Tories has risen sharply, overtaking Labour for the first time since 1989.
