UN goal to eradicate HIV/AIDS by 2030

The United Nations program on HIV-AIDS says the world could see the end of the AIDS epidemic in around 15 years.

The United Nations program on HIV-AIDS says the world could see the end of the AIDS epidemic in around 15 years.

UNAIDS has released a series of so-called 'fast-track' goals in a bid to completely eradicate the disease by 2030.

The plan also aims to avert tens of thousands of new HIV infections.

Steve Kraus from UNAIDS for Asia and the Pacific explained what's involved to Marina Freri.
