The Australian Education Union has launched a national campaign aimed at building pressure on the Abbott government to adhere to the so-called Gonski agreement.
The Union says Prime Minister Tony Abbott has committed to less than one-third of the funding and, under his plan the money would run out in 2017.
Campaigners travelling in four vans will cross the country over the next five weeks in support of the schools-funding deal reached under the previous Gillard Government.
Union president Angelo Gavrielatos told Ron Sutton the union wants the government to commit to the full six-year, $10-billion school funding plan.
