Unseen footage has been released showing James Earl Ray, the killer of Martin Luther King Jnr. in police custody.
The footage was stumbled upon two years ago by officials and has been digitally restored.
In it, Ray is seen being marched into a jail cell by law enforcement officers who then read him his rights. He is later strip-searched by police.
The footage is taken three months after Ray assasinated the civil rights leader outside a Memphis hotel in April 1968.
The high-profile murderer wears a bullet-proof vest as authorities were concerned about attempts on his life.
