Unvaccinated children can be barred in Qld

New Queensland laws will allow providers childcare centres and kindergartens to refuse access to unvaccinated children.

Queensland childcare centres will be protected from legal action if they reject unvaccinated children under new state laws.

Health Minister Cameron Dick says the laws, which passed parliament with the opposition's support on Thursday night, will help protect the community from diseases.

"Achieving herd immunity will protect the most vulnerable in our community," Health Minister Cameron Dick said.
