The first US drone strike in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has killed five people, two of them belonging to Afghanistan's Haqqani network, officials say.
The attack targeting a religious seminary belonging to the Haqqani network took place on Thursday in Tal, a town in the northwestern Hangu district bordering the North Waziristan, Orakzai and Kurram tribal regions.
"The drone strike targeting the seminary killed five people and wounded another one," local police and security officials told AFP on condition of anonymity.
