There is growing concern about the state of the US economy as the International Monetary Fund warns that the recovery is at risk, describing the economy as 'tepid'.

BBC's Mark Mardell reports that some American's feel that the 'American Dream' is over, while others say the nation's competitive spirit will spur it to find new ways to stay in front.

He reports from Stockton in California, which is the biggest city in the USA to declare itself bankrupt.
