US expels three Venezuelan embassy officials

The United States is expelling three Venezuelan embassy officials following Venezuela's decision to kick-out three American diplomats last week.

A US State Department official says the three Venezuelans have been given 48-hours to leave the country.

Announcing last week that three American diplomats were being expelled, Venezuela's President accused them of meeting with protest leaders under the pretense of offering them visas.

   

The United States says the allegations are baseless.
