US man 'slapped in the face' by kangaroo

An 80-year-old man in Ohio is recovering from being attacked by a six-foot-tall red kangaroo who beat the man in the face for 15 minutes.

An 80-year-old man in Ohio is recovering from being attacked by a six-foot-tall red kangaroo.

The victim and his family own the exotic animal farm, which breeds and raises animals for the San Diego Zoo.

His son says a six-foot-tall, 200-pound male red kangaroo was responsible, beating his father in the face for about 15 minutes.

It's believed the kangaroo was in a breeding period, when males can be aggressive.

The owner said he plans to euthanize the animal.
