Australian Robert Irwin introduced Kevin Hart to a range of creepy crawlies on Thursday night sending the actor into a tailspin.

Robert, the son of the late Steve Irwin, was making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and co-host Hart to promote his new upcoming show on Animal Planet, Crikey! It's the Irwins.

But Hart was about to receive a shock as Irwin surprised the pair with some animals.

First off was a two-month-old ostrich named Giselle. Despite Giselle's calm nature, Hart was startled and jumped up off the couch.

"You can kiss my ass," Hart quipped as they tried to bring the ostrich closer to him.

Next up was a pair of snakes called Elvis and LeBron.

Hart couldn't contain his fear and couldn't be persuaded to hold them, despite the crowd chanting his name.

"Let me tell you what I've gotten really good at in my life," Hart said to the crowd. "Saying no," he joked.

But both Hart and Fallon were flabbergasted when Irwin brought out a big red knee tarantula.

This prompted Hart to flee the stage.

While Fallon was eventually persuaded to hold the spider in the palm of his hand, Hart said: "I'm nervous for you!"

Hart eventually joined in on the action as he allowed a falcon named Squire land on his arm.
