US stock markets dipped overnight as investors focused on weakness in the US economy over euphoria about the US slaying of al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.
The Dow Jones slipped 3.18 points (0.02 per cent) to finish at 12,807.36.
The Nasdaq dropped 9.46 points (0.33 per cent) to 2,864.08 while the S&P 500 retreated 2.39 points (0.18 per cent) to 1,361.22.
After a week capped on Friday with keenly-awaited April jobs data, investors weighed news that US manufacturing growth has slowed amid price pressures but is still strong.
