Death row prisoner Clayton Lockett was seen writhing in pain after being given an untested cocktail of drugs.

The new mixture of drugs was used because pharmaceutical firms in Europe have halted the export of drugs formerly used in executions.

North America correspondent John Stempin spoke with Phillippa Carisbrooke about the implications of the case.
