US Supreme Court rules on immigration 'age out' policy

The US Supreme Court has ruled that children who wait with their parents for years to obtain a permanent residency visa must start over if they don't complete the process by the age of 21.

In a major setback for young immigrants to the United States, the country's Supreme Court has ruled that children who wait with their parents for years to obtain a permanent residency visa must start over if they don't complete the process by the age of 21.

It's estimated several thousand immigrant children "age out" of the green card process each year.

North America correspondent John Stempin spoke with Phillippa Carisbrooke about the ruling.
