A California teen father is accused of biting off part of his infant child's nose after becoming frustrated with the one-month-old.

Joshua Cooper, 18, was being held at the Solano County jail under suspicion of child cruelty and aggravated assault, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The baby, who was listed in stable condition at the hospital, lost about a third of its nose and suffered a skull fracture.

Police say Cooper became frustrated when the child would not stop crying, according to the paper.
