The yeast-based spread has become a staple item in many Australian homes since it was launched in 1923.
Mondelez International’s Darren O’Brien the spread was so popular that its recipe had not changed once.
"We’ve had a hundred different type of jar or tin or pack that’s gone with it, but the recipie hasn’t changed," he said.
But at the birthday celebrations there was cake, not toast, to celebrate.
