Veteran Crows on notice after Gibbs axed

Adelaide coach Don Pyke has sent a clear message to his underperforming veterans with the shock decision to dump Bryce Gibbs for the clash with North Melbourne.

More high-profile Adelaide veterans will follow Bryce Gibbs out of the AFL side if they continue to underperform, coach Don Pyke has warned

The spotlight will be on misfiring forwards like Taylor Walker, Eddie Betts and Josh Jenkins when the Crows play winless North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night after the shock axing of Gibbs.

"It was a form decision that's best for the team.We work on a merits-based system, the reality is that guys earn their spots and we've got some guys who are experienced but you've still got to perform," Pyke said of the Gibbs decision on Friday.
